Bayern Munich of Germany and Inter Milan of Italy achieved victory over Galatasaray of Turkey and Salzburg of Austria – respectively – in the group stage of the European Champions League.
The Bavarian team faced intense pressure from its Turkish host for more than 70 minutes before scoring two goals and achieving a 3-1 victory on Tuesday, topping the first group in the continental championship.
Bayern Munich – which leads the standings with 9 points, while the Turkish team occupies second place with 4 points – found itself in an unusual defensive position, as Galatasaray launched 20 attacks compared to only 6 attacks by Bayern.

With this victory, Bayern ended their Turkish rival’s unbeaten streak in 23 matches in all competitions.
In the fourth group, Alexis Sanchez and Hakan Calhanoglu scored for Inter Milan, giving the Italian team a difficult 2-1 victory over Austrian champion Salzburg.
