The French newspaper RMC indicated that this impromptu minute of silence came after a prior agreement between the two teams, in blatant defiance of the European Union, which rejected their request before the match.
The source did not mention whether the Israeli and Polish teams would be subjected to possible penalties as a result of their violation of the regulations. But it is clear that the matter will be ignored and no decisions will be issued against the elected officials.
