The new Presidential Council consists of Muhammad Al-Manafi as Chairman and the membership of Abdullah Al-Lafi and Musa Al-Koni, while Abdul Hamid Dabaiba heads the government in the Unified Interim Executive Authority, which is scheduled to run the country’s affairs until the general elections are held on December 24.
The exile pledged, upon his election, that the Presidential Council would be representative of all Libyans, without discrimination or exclusion, reiterating his commitment to the election dates next December, and the achievement of national reconciliation.
