Facebook and YouTube have deleted a video of US President Donald Trump confirming that the elections were rigged, and calling on his supporters in Washington to leave.
“The social media company has deleted the video because we believe it increases the risk of ongoing violence rather than reducing it,” Jay Rosen, Facebook’s vice president for integrity, said in a tweet on Twitter.
“YouTube” said: “The video violates our policy against content that claims that widespread manipulation or errors have changed the outcome of the 2020 US elections.”
Twitter restricted users’ ability to post the video “due to the risk of violence.”
The company also imposed restrictions on a subsequent tweet that Trump announced again that he had won the election.
