WEYMOUTH, Massachusetts − When his son was born with a rare liver disorder nearly 18 months in the past, Stephen Squillante reported he assumed he’d be a match to give element of his liver to Stephen Squillante III.
As an alternative, he got the surprising news that he has a type of blood most cancers that prohibits him from donating organs. Doctors caught it early, and he claimed he’s feeling excellent, but the disappointment in excess of not being able to help his son has been palpable.
