The Federal Center for Labor Conciliation and Registration (CFCRL) endorsed the legitimacy of the collective labor agreement carried out by the Single Union of Electrical Workers of the Mexican Republic (SUTERM) with the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE).
According to the published minutes, the SUTERM, led by Víctor Fuentes, obtained 57,032 votes in favor of legitimizing the collective agreement, which represents 90.2% of the workers who had the right to vote.
After the intense dissemination campaign carried out by the union organization through social networks to publicize the voting process to legitimize the contract, only 8,035 votes against were obtained.
The CFCRL headed by Alfredo Domínguez Marrufo, detailed that the consultation was carried out in the 31 states of the Republic and Mexico City last week, thus complying with the labor reform that came into effect on May 1, 2019.
It should be noted that 116 votes were annulled; Therefore, 65,067 effective votes were counted in the process that took place on December 1, an institution that has 72,192 workers.
