The Russian Federal Security Service’s communications center reported that service personnel in 19 Russian regions have arrested 43 weapons makers and confiscated about 200 weapons.
The center announced: “The Federal Security Service, in cooperation with the Russian Interior and the Russian Guard Forces, has stopped illegal activity of 43 people in 19 Russian regions, who are suspected of being involved in restoring the combat capabilities of civilian weapons in illegal factories and selling them.”
He added that the joint operation allowed for the cessation of 28 illegal workshops that were modernizing weapons and producing ammunition.

He added that the list of confiscated weapons includes 3 machine guns, 18 automatic rifles, 48 rifles, 113 pistols, 27 mortar magazines of various calibers, 45 grenades, more than 26 thousand ammunition and 34.5 kilograms of explosives, among others.
