SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Lake Effect Snow Warnings are in effect now for Onondaga, Madison, Oneida, Southern Herkimer, Lewis, Oswego, Northern Cayuga, and Wayne counties until 6pm Sunday. This is for heavy lake effect snow with feet of accumulation likely.
This heavy lake effect snow is due to cold and breezy conditions drawn across the Great Lakes from the northwest. The location of these lake effect snow bands will change with the wind direction.
