The sale of tickets for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, which will take place from November 21 to December 18 of this year, began this Wednesday with prices lower than those practiced in previous editions, as announced by the FIFA it’s a statement.
A lottery system allows international spectator candidates buy tickets at a starting price of $69, which is one third less than the current prices in the Russia World Cup 2018.
The price of a ticket for the final could however reach 1,607 dollars.
The organizers of Qatar World Cup they did not announce how many spectators will be admitted to the stadiums, in a context of uncertainty linked to the pandemic of Covid-19.
Residents of Qatar and migrant workers, whose treatment has been a source of controversy, can purchase tickets for $11.
People who sign up now for the different offers, whether they prefer to book for a specific match, follow a particular team or book for a stadium, will participate in a first draw that will take place on February 8.
The lucky ones will be notified before March 8.
The final draw for the matches of the first World Cup organized in an Arab country is scheduled to take place in April. FIFA hinted in its statement that it could take place on April 1.
