Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Control and Anti-Corruption Commission in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced that it is handling two cases in a number of cases.
The first issue According to the official Saudi Press Agency:
The suspension of (3) Royal Guard officers (retired major general, colonel, and lieutenant colonel) working in contract and procurement management, and (21) businessmen and expatriates of Arab nationality, for officers awarding tenders to companies belonging to them and their acquaintances, by violating the government procurement and competition system Manipulating quantities, unlawfully disbursing money to these companies, using their relatives to obtain the money obtained, and buying real estate inside and outside the Kingdom in order not to reveal the sources of these funds.
The sum of the sums obtained from these crimes has reached 400 million riyals so far, and investigations are still ongoing with the parties to the case.
The second issue:
The suspension of an employee at the Royal Court who previously worked in the Lands and Grants Department, and two citizens (intermediaries) for the first to complete the procedures for extracting (79) royal grants for citizens, in return for receiving cash from them through intermediaries, as the total amount received amounted to 2.85 million riyals.
