As part of the talks at the Summit 1000 Most Important Companies in Mexico, Grupo Mundo Executive Publisher, Arlenne Muñoz, spoke with Ricardo Medina VP of the global corporate group and new latam markets at American Express Company Mexico.
The MSMEs are a very important part of the economy in Mexico, before the pandemic they provided 7 out of 10 jobs and are responsible for 52% of GDP,; in this context they have also been very hit and affected by the pandemic and; the null government support since 62% do not have access to credit.
Given this situation, Ricardo Medina shares that one of the objectives of American Express is to detonate ideas and financing tools so that MSMEs can successfully navigate a successful and profitable economic recovery.
“With more financing options, our support adapts to what MSMEs need, they will be able to manage their cash flow through corporate American Express cards that give them up to 39 calendar days of financing at no cost, a competitive advantage in the market”
Forms of consumption have advanced by leaps and bounds, electronic purchases and payments have become a necessity for the survival of MSMEs,; local consumption for economic reactivation,; that is why it is more important than ever to take care of and maximize cash flow of companies, as well as strengthen their control of expenses.
American Express has solutions for the needs of MSMEs, we have unique virtual account numbers as a payment solution; secure for each transaction, payment amounts, date ranges and transaction details can be established to help improve financial control.
There is still fear of the MSMEs due to indebtedness, but if it is accompanied by strategy and control tools this can become a reactivation advantage, the important thing is to adapt and generate value.
“Without a doubt, the MSMEs move the country, I congratulate and support them for being a very important part of the economy in Mexico, at American Express we know that, that is why we want to be allies for their growth” concluded Ricardo Medina
