- Former Italy and Roma boss Cesare Prandelli will replace Iachini in Tuscany
Fiorentina have lost patience with Giuseppe Iachini less than a year after the Italian’s appointment, bringing back Cesare Prandelli as his replacement.
Viola sit 12th in Serie A after a rocky start to 2020-21, with a drab 0-0 draw against Parma enough to convince the board to call on Prandelli, who was reportedly being line-up before the match.
Prandelli became Fiorentina’s longest serving manager during his spell between 2005 and 2010, guiding them to the UEFA Cup semi-final and two fourth-place finishes in Serie A before leaving to manage his national team.
