A Level 4 threat for severe weather has been issued for western counties along the I-35 corridor, indicating the highest probability of dangerous conditions, including wind gusts exceeding 70 mph. Further east, areas along Highway 52 and the Mississippi River are under a Level 3 threat.
The primary hazard from this storm system will be damaging winds. While the overall tornado threat remains low, an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
The storms are currently forecast to approach the I-35 corridor between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. and reach areas near Highway 52 between 11 p.m. and 1 a.m. This timeline is an estimate and may be adjusted depending on the speed of the storm front.
