Flooding of the Seine threatens Paris

The water level in the Seine River in Paris continued to rise today, Tuesday, after heavy rains swept the French capital.

Some passages near the river were completely flooded and some stairs leading to the Seine were cordoned off.

Officials closed several sectors along the river’s banks to traffic due to the threat of floods.
