
Italian club AC Milan announced today, Friday, that right-back Alessandro Florenese has undergone a successful knee surgery, and will be out of matches for a period of up to a month, after a recent injury.
And Milan revealed in a statement on its official website: “AC Milan confirms that Alessandro Florenzi underwent surgery today, which was performed by Professor Pier Paolo Mariani in the presence of the club’s doctor, Lucio Genesio, at the Villa Stewart clinic in Rome.”
The statement continued, “The arthroscopic surgery, which was performed to correct a partial meniscus tear in his left knee, went perfectly as planned, and the estimated recovery time is 30 days.”
Florenzi, 30, participated in 7 matches this season with Milan, including 5 in the Italian League, and two matches in the Champions League against Liverpool and Atletico Madrid, during which he participated as a substitute.
Milan, who is ranked second in the Italian league standings with 16 points, two points behind leaders Napoli, is preparing to face its host Atalanta on Sunday in the seventh round of the competition.

Florenzi spent last season on loan with Paris Saint-Germain, which decided not to include him permanently at the end of the season, and included Moroccan Ashraf Hakimi, Inter Milan star in a deal that cost 60 million euros..
Florenzi played with the first team of Roma from 2012 until he loaned him in the summer of 2019 to Valencia, to spend one season with the Spanish team, and then Roma returned him to Paris Saint-Germain.
