Foodies are now preparing ‘twisted bacon’ strips after a new trend surfaced on TikTok.

The clever idea involves curling raw bacon on top of itself to create a spiral shape.

Over the last few weeks the food trend has grown in popularity and the term has been searched for more than 840,000 times.

The savoury treat is simple to make and first requires creating the spirals then cooking the bacon in the oven on a high heat for at least half an hour

An air fryer could also be an alternative power-saving device to use instead of the oven. 

Some people also chose to season the meat with red chili and brown sugar to balance the flavours.

The end result would be perfect to add to a grazing platter along with a selection of cheeses, dips and fruit.
