Former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Jax Dane (Jeremy Laymon) has passed away at age 48.
The NWA announced that Dane passed on December 25 due to complications from a heart attack suffered in late November.
Dane competed for the NWA, ROH, TNA/IMPACT Wrestling, OVW, and more. He won the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title in 2015 and held it for 419 days.

Dane last wrestled at NWA Samhain 2 in October.
