Corona virus in France
The French Ministry of Health announced that 455 deaths and 4,347 new cases of coronavirus were recorded in the last 24 hours.
The Ministry stated in its daily report that the total number of deaths due to the virus in the country reached 76,512, while the total number of infections was 3,201,461.
The French government had announced that Paris could use the Russian “Sputnik V” vaccine against Corona, if approved by the French and European institutions to supervise the drugs.
Government spokesman Gabriel Atal said in an interview with “Francetvinfo” radio today, Monday: If the European Medicines Agency considers it safe and effective, and if the French Supreme Health Committee agrees on this, then it is clear that we can suggest a Russian vaccine for French citizens.
Atal pointed out that the government, while making decisions of this kind, does not care about the source of drug production, adding: “We want the vaccine to be safe and effective. This is related to the Russian vaccine as well.”
