France, first classified to the round of 16 in the World Cup after beating Denmark (2-1)

Kylian Mbappé scored a brace on Saturday in the second half of the triumph of France 2-1 win over Denmark in Group D, a result that made the defending champions the first team to qualify for the round of 16 of the World Cup.

After a goalless first leg in which France dominated but failed to score, Mbappé opened the scoring after 61 minutes.

Denmark It equalized seven minutes later thanks to a terrific header from Andreas Christensen past French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

Mbappé made it 2-1 in the 86th minute by driving the ball into the back of the net with a thigh after a cross from Antoine Griezmann.
