The Dallas Mavericks have made official the hiring of point guard Frank Ntilikina for next season, they announced through their communications department.
The Frenchman comes to the Texas franchise after four seasons wearing the New York Knicks jersey where he averaged 5.5 points, 2, rebounds and 2.7 assists in 211 official games (55 as a starter).
Ntilikina will follow in the footsteps of teammate Reggie Bullock, who also joined the Mavs this summer. Likewise, in Dallas he will also coincide with old acquaintances such as Kristaps Porzingis, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Trey Burke, all of them with past Knickerbocker.
With his signing, the roster led by Jason Kidd currently has 20 chips, a far cry from the 15 needed to start the next regular season 2021-22.
