Today, Friday, the president of the French Hospital Federation, Frederic Valleto, called for a new lockdown in the country to deal with the escalating Covid-19 situation.
The statements of the head of the infectious diseases department at Saint Antoine Hospital in Paris came a day after the French Prime Minister, Jean Castex, said that there is no need at the present time for a third national closure, although he added that the situation in France “is still fragile.”
