As one more sample to celebrate the 70 years of relationship between Mexico and Israel, the Friendship Bench was inaugurated outside the Israeli embassy in our country.
“This masterpiece illustrates the vast values and rich cultural heritage shared by the ancient peoples of Israel and Mexico,” said the ambassador at the inauguration of the work.
The diplomat stressed that to build a solid relationship between two nations, more is needed than making political decisions and diplomatic guidance.
Noe Katz, the artist who donated the work, stressed that his creation represents the friendship between the two nations.
“My idea was to unite the two countries through letters, symbols and history in order to receive good principles in education and culture. This bench helps us understand that we can sit down together and be united through friendship, love and mutual cooperation,” Katz explained.
To commemorate 70 years of bilateral relations, the Israeli embassy has developed various cultural activities throughout this year such as a fashion show, photographic exhibitions, seminars, and more.
