It seems that the former Manchester United and Leicester City player, the Englishman Danny Simpson, will not rest after announcing his retirement from football only months ago, as he will enter the boxing sport.
In an unexpected move, Simpson decided to enter the world of boxing, as he announced – yesterday, Wednesday – on his Instagram account that he will have his first promotional fight with the “Mizfit” team later this month.

Simpson's football career
The right-back played a few games under Sir Alex Ferguson, played alongside Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United, and won the Premier League title with both Manchester United and Leicester City.
Simpson is a graduate of the Manchester United academy and spent the early stages of his career playing for Ipswich Town, Blackburn Rovers and Queens Park Rangers.
In August 2014, he moved to Leicester City, who suffered a relegation battle in the 2014-2015 season, finishing in fourteenth place.

But the following season saw Leicester and Simpson shock the football world, as Claudio Ranieri's Foxes won their first Premier League title in the 2015-16 season. Simpson played a key role in the title-winning campaign, making 30 appearances.
After leaving Leicester City in 2019, Simpson played for Huddersfield Town before joining Bristol City in 2021 on a short-term contract that ended by mutual consent in March 2022.
His last club was Macclesfield, who he signed for in December 2023.
The player left Macclesfield in July at the age of 37, bringing an end to his football career.
