‘Incarceration is not appropriate’: Fury as man who pleaded guilty to raping FOUR teen girls is given NO jail time by judge and gets eight years probation instead

Christopher Belter, 20, was given no jail time for the rape of four teen girls at his parents’ home
A 20-year-old New York man who pleaded guilty to raping four teenage girls inside his parents’ home is sentenced to no jail time and will get eight years probation instead.
Christopher Belter was told by the judge in the Niagara courtroom that prison time would be ‘inappropriate’ and instead ordered him to register as a sex offender instead.
One of Belter’s victims was heard to cry as the judge read out his verdict and told Belter that his eight year probation would ‘be like a sword hanging over your head for the next eight years’.
‘I agonized — I’m not ashamed to say that I actually prayed over what is the appropriate sentence in this case. because there was great pain. There was great harm — There were multiple crimes committed in the case,’ said Judge Murphy to the shocked court room.
‘It seems to me that a sentence that involves incarceration or partial incarceration isn’t appropriate, so I am going to sentence you to probation.’
