The UAE confirmed that it will not be a party in the planned Israeli elections next week, amid reports of an upcoming visit by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is seeking to support his fortunes days before the polls.
Anwar Gargash, advisor to the President of the State, wrote on Twitter: “From the UAE’s point of view, the aim of the agreements is to provide a strong strategic basis for promoting peace and prosperity with the State of Israel and in the wider region.”
From the UAE’s perspective, the purpose of the Abrahamic Accords is to provide a robust strategic foundation to foster peace and prosperity with the State of Israel and in the wider region. The UAE will not be a part in any internal electioneering in Israel, now or ever.

He added, “The UAE will not be a party to any internal electoral process in Israel, now or at any time.”
In turn, Emirati Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology Sultan Al-Jaber said, “The UAE’s announcement of studying the possibility of investing $ 10 billion in Israel is based on commercial goals and has nothing to do with politics.”
He added, “This is in line with the UAE’s record of searching for investment opportunities from around the world.”
For his part, Netanyahu promised earlier, to attract huge investments from abroad, including the UAE, saying: “Its crown prince believes in the Israeli economic miracle.”
