Today, Thursday, the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Anwar Gargash, expressed his hope to open a “new page” between the Arab Gulf states.

And Gargash wrote in a tweet on “Twitter”: “From Kuwait to Muscat, via Riyadh, Manama, Doha and Abu Dhabi, we open a new page full of hope and optimism.”
The minister added, “We aspire to a stable and prosperous Arab Gulf, and we look to the future with confidence, solid will and confidence. This is how we feel in the Emirates.”

During the Al-Ula summit held in Saudi Arabia two weeks ago, the Gulf Cooperation Council reached an agreement to restore cohesion between the GCC states. Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt agreed this month with Qatar to restore diplomatic, trade and travel ties that were cut off in 2017.
