If the Clippers’ season was going to be continually peppered with injuries, their first preseason game was going to be no less. This same night the Los Angeles team makes their preseason debut against the Denver Nuggets. But not only will they have the assumed casualties of Kawhi Leonard and Serge Ibaka, but Paul George, Nicolas Batum and Marcus Morris will also be absent. As Marc J. Spears points out on his Twitter account, the three will be out of the call for rest.
This type of decision should not be surprising, because already during the Lakers-Nets that opened the preseason, of the superstars, only Anthony Davis made an appearance. Although this season returns to normal calendar, the time between the end of 20-21 and the start of 21-22 continues to be reduced. In addition, the punctual rest is an established practice even in the regular league, so it is expected that the main stars not only play a few minutes, but that they will miss some games during this training camp. Along with those already mentioned, the Los Angeles Clippers also list Jason Preston. The rookie will continue to be a doubt due to an injury to his right foot that will have him out indefinitely.
