German Chancellor Angela Merkel decided, in a meeting with the heads of government of German states, to extend the closure measures imposed to prevent the spread of the Corona virus in the country until March 7.

As for the decision to reopen schools, it is up to the local authorities in the states.
Steps will be taken to ease the closure measures only if the number of new infections with the Coronavirus is stable and below 35 infections per 100,000 of the population within 7 days, and then it will be possible to open shops, museums and other facilities.
