Germany announced that, from Saturday, it will ban entry to arrivals from 5 countries experiencing a large outbreak of the mutated Corona virus, until February 17th.
The ban covers the United Kingdom, Ireland, Brazil, Portugal and South Africa and aims to “protect the population of Germany,” according to the Ministry of Health.
On Thursday, German Interior Minister Horst Seehofer said that the government intends to impose an expanded ban, from Friday, on flights with countries where the mutated virus is spreading.
