A federal judge in Texas has temporarily suspended the US Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) approval of the abortion pill. He argued that the FDA failed to fully consider the problem, omitting the psychological effects of the drug or an assessment of the drug’s long-term medical consequences. Another federal judge ordered that this pill be made available in the 12 states that sued the FDA.
