A nine-year-old girl has died after being hit by a bus alongside her five-year-old brother.
The unnamed girl died in hospital on Monday afternoon after the horrific crash on Saturday in Bexleyheath, south-east London.
Police say that ‘despite the best efforts of medical staff, she sadly died in the afternoon on Monday, 5 August’.
The male bus driver was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and drug-driving and has been bailed under investigation until early November.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the Watling Street smash which took place around 9.05am.

The girl’s younger brother was taken to hospital as a precaution but has since been discharged.
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police’s Roads and Transport Policing Command are leading the investigation.
A Met Police spokesperson said: ‘Any witnesses to the collision who are yet to speak with police are asked to call 101 quoting reference CAD 2309/03AUG.’
