Rudolph Giuliani, personal lawyer for US President Donald Trump, said that he is preparing arguments and evidence to defend his client, as part of the impeachment measures taken against the current president.
The lawyer added, in an interview on ABC channel published yesterday, that he is “currently making efforts in this field.”
Giuliani believes that Trump’s political opponents will try to prove that his statements about the massive fraud that he asserts that occurred in the last presidential election should be considered a “call to violence.”
The lawyer believes that if it is proven that electoral fraud actually took place, at least partially, that would deprive the Democrats of a major argument in their accusations.
Giuliani did not rule out that Trump would give his statement during the consideration of the isolation measures. “Such a decision is always taken at the last moment,” he said.
