The Foundation announcedGlobal Central Kitchen“World Central Kitchen” NGO says one of its Palestinian employees was killed in Gaza stripfour months after seven of its employees were killed in Israeli strikes that sparked widespread condemnation.
The US-based organisation said the employee, named Nadi Slot, had been a regular member of its team since its early days in Rafah.
“He was a core member of our warehouse team from the early days of our response in Rafah and was a philanthropist at heart,” she said in a post on the X website.
The organization said it was still looking into the details of what happened, but believed he was off-duty when he was killed. It said he was killed near Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.
Three Israeli airstrikes targeted a convoy of humanitarian aid vehicles as they moved through Gaza on April 1, killing seven of the organization's employees, including individuals from the United States, Australia, Britain and Poland.
During the devastating war that Israel has been waging on Gaza since October 7, dozens of relief workers have been killed, including workers from the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).UNRWA) and others.
The war also left more than 131,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amidst massive destruction and deadly famine.
