A three-year-old girl has died after a golden retriever fell from the fifth floor of a residential building as she walked with her mother along a busy road in Mumbra, India yesterday.
Shocking CCTV footage shared on social media shows the dog plummet towards the ground and land on the girl with immense force, causing her to lose consciousness.
Her mother can be seen picking the young girl’s limp body up from the ground as she starts to rush away from the scene, while onlookers assist her.
Meanwhile the golden retriever, which had landed on its back, can be seen struggling to get on its feet.
Once it finally gets up, its movements are slow and appears to be disoriented.

A local source said: ‘Her mother quickly picked her up and, along with a few others, rushed her to the hospital as she had gone unconscious.
The small child was taken to Chhatrapati Shivaji Hospital in Kalwa and was later transferred to Kalsekar Hospital, but was later declared dead.
According to local police, it is suspected that the dog was thrown by someone from the building’s terrace as the girl and her mother walked along the streets, but it is still trying to determine how it fell.
The police is currently investigating the incident.
