On Sunday, GOP Rep. Nancy Mace lambasted freshman Rep. George Santos on television for lying about his background and experience on the marketing campaign trail.
Mace was asked on CBS News’ “Deal with the Nation” how she could do the job with Santos immediately after he’s admitted to fabricating significantly of his résumé, and if he ought to be taken out from office environment.
“It’s incredibly tough to perform with any individual who cannot be reliable,” Mace claimed. “It is really distinct his complete résumé and everyday living was made right up until a few times ago when he lastly improved his website.”

He afterwards apologized for what he referred to as “embellishment” in a collection of interviews.
“If I upset anybody by my résumé embellishment, I am sorry,” Santos said on WABC radio.
And judging by Mace’s comments, Santos’ lies seem to have harm his standing among his Republican colleagues. Some associates, on the other hand, usually are not as anxious about Santos’ list of lies.
Though also showing on “Confront the Nation,” GOP Rep. Tony Gonzales defended him by just declaring, “there is certainly a large amount of frauds in Congress.”
