Governor Rocha attends the protest of the new Commander of the Ninth Military Zone

Culiacán, Sinaloa, January 4, 2023.- This morning, Governor Rubén Rocha Moya attended, at the invitation of military authorities, the inauguration ceremony and flag protest of the Brigadier General Graduated from General Staff, Alfredo Salgado Vargas, new commander of the Ninth Military Zone, who replaces Héctor Ávila Alcocer, who held this position since 2021.

After paying homage to the flag, the swearing-in protocol was carried out, headed by the Major General of the General Staff Division, Francisco Jesús Leana Ojeda, Commander of the III Military Region, who urged the new command to carry out the position loyally and patriotic, respecting the Mexican Political Constitution and the laws that emanate from it.

After formally receiving the position, the new Commander of the Ninth Military Zone was congratulated by the State Executive, who indicated his willingness to collaborate in a coordinated manner.

This relevant event was attended by Juan de Dios Gámez Mendívil, Municipal President of Culiacán, Enrique Inzunza Cázarez, Secretary General of the Government of the State of Sinaloa, María Salazar Rodríguez, Technical Secretary of the State Coordination for the Construction of Peace and Security, Omar López Campos, Federal Delegate for Welfare Programs in Sinaloa, Gonzalo Hernández Durazo, representative of the Attorney General’s Office, Sara Bruna Quiñónez Estrada, State Attorney General, Juan Gabriel Sosa Pinto, Station Chief of the Center National Intelligence Agency in Sinaloa, José Carlos Álvarez Ortega, President of the ECHR and Admiral Javier Abarca García, Commander of the Eighth Naval Region, among others.
