Governors of Nuevo León and Jalisco prepare agenda to take advantage of nearshoring opportunities

Monterrey, NL. The governors of New LionSamuel Garcia, and JaliscoEnrique Alfaro, met this Saturday at the Nuevo León government palace to put together the work agenda for the Jalisco-Nuevo León axis for 2023.

The president of Jalisco, Enrique Alfaro indicated on his social networks that the two locomotives of the national economy will coordinate and support each other to generate investment, jobs and development.

“Today we agree that the next business meeting will be the first week of March in Jalisco and there we will address as the main issue the way in which our states will take advantage of nearshoring opportunities (bringing value chains closer to the United States), and the reorganization of the chain of supply in the world,” said Enrique Alfaro on his Twitter account.

His counterpart from Nuevo León assured that tonight he will accompany him to see the Chivas game against Monterrey, at the Rayados house.

It should be remembered that in May 2022 a meeting headed by both governors was held, who reported that they would work on a joint industrial business project.

An issue that was raised then was to join other federal entities to analyze the safety of cargo transportation on the highways.
