British Queen Elizabeth II gifted two new Corgi puppies to help her during the royal crisis with her grandson Prince Harry and his wife, Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, and her husband Prince Philip’s illness.
The newspaper “Daily Mail” reported that the new dogs joined the Queen (96 years) in Windsor Castle, while Prince Philip (99 years) is still in St. Bartholomew’s Hospital in London after undergoing heart surgery.
A source told “The Sun” newspaper that “the queen is pleased with the presence of the two dogs, especially since they make a lot of noise and movement in the castle while Philip is in the hospital.”
This also comes a few months after it was said that the Queen was in mourning for the loss of her dog, “Vulcan”, a member of “Germa Shepherd”, a few weeks before Christmas, who had accompanied her since 2007.
This week, the Queen launched an investigation into allegations that Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, the wife of her grandson Harry, was bullied by several of his employees, after a press report quoted royal aides saying that a complaint was filed against her in 2018.
A palace spokesman said, “Obviously, we are extremely concerned about the allegations made in The Times following the allegations made by former employees of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Accordingly, our human resources team will look into the circumstances published in the article.”
