Guadalajara is recognized as the most attractive city in Mexico for investment

Guadalajara, Jalisco. After receiving recognition as the “most attractive city for investment” during the recent National Convention of Mayors of Mexicothe municipal president of Guadalajara, Pablo Lemus Navarroassured that the municipality is heading to consolidate itself not only as an investment attraction pole, but also as the logistics and tourism hub of Western Mexico.

In an interview with El Economista, the city of Guadalajara asserted that “the business climate in the Guadalajara metropolitan area is extremely positive,” and attributed it, among other factors, to its policy of supporting companies, the regulatory improvement program and to the joint work with the municipality of Zapopan whose municipal president, John Joseph Frangielike Lemus, also emerged from the Private Initiative.

“I think that a very positive and even historical part is that we are two mayors, in the two main cities like Guadalajara and Zapopan, who emigrated from the Private Initiative, therefore, we have a logic of supporting the Private Initiative”, commented the mayor of Guadalajara.

The municipal president of Guadalajara, who was mayor of Zapopan for the past two trienniums and previously presided over the Employers’ Confederation of the Mexican Republic (Coparmex) in Jalisco, highlighted his government’s relationship with investors.

“We personally serve businessmen, we have carried out a process of regulatory improvement in the two municipalities, and Guadalajara and Zapopan have consolidated as two municipalities that are viewed very favorably by investors at the national level,” he said.

Due to the fact that the capital city does not have large surface areas for the installation of manufacturing plants, when the investment requires it, it is offered as an alternative the municipality of Zapopan which is also located in the metropolitan area of ​​Guadalajara.

Lemus Navarro commented, however, that the municipality’s commitment is to value-added investments in creative industries, technology and innovation, such as those that Ciudad Creativa Digital is attracting, a project that in turn is allowing the attraction of real estate developments in the Historic Center of Guadalajara.

“The main investments that we are attracting, but also, and this is fundamental, we are supporting the science, innovation and technology brigades in entrepreneurship…I believe that this industry is, without a doubt, the most promising future for development of entrepreneurship in the AMG”.

Lemus Navarro stressed that to improve the quality of life of the people of Guadalajara, their economic model is linked to the urban development of the city, for which the municipal government launched a project to repopulate the historic center through the real estate development of four polygons linked to public space for which the municipality offers incentives to developers who build affordable housing in this area of ​​the city.
