Haaretz newspaper quoted Israeli officials as believing that US President joe biden He will take steps during the last two and a half months of his term to end the war on Gaza Strip.
The officials, whose identities were not revealed by the Israeli newspaper, stated that Biden’s supposed steps would include decisions that he had previously avoided, such as not protecting Israel in international forums and slowing down its supply of weapons.
The newspaper also quoted Western diplomats as saying that there are growing doubts that Israel is carrying out a mass displacement of Palestinians from the northern Gaza Strip.
Western diplomats stressed that “if Washington concludes that Israel is implementing… Generals plan In northern Gaza, you will be forced to move,” they said, without indicating the nature of that move.
The generals’ plan is a military plan proposed by former Israeli army general Giora Eiland to the prime minister Benjamin NetanyahuIt was adopted by a large number of army generals.
The plan was drawn up in September 2024, with the aim of forcibly displacing the population of the northern Gaza Strip, by imposing a complete siege on the region, including preventing the entry of humanitarian aid, to starve the remaining civilians, as well as the resistance fighters, and put them before two options: death or surrender.
Despite the great and continuing American military and diplomatic support for Israel during its aggression against Gaza, US President Joe Biden confirms in his statements that his administration is seeking to reach a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and release the Israeli detainees there.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been waging a genocidal war on Gaza, with American support, that left thousands of martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and the elderly.
Tel Aviv continues the war, ignoring two UN Security Council resolutions to stop it immediately, and orders International Court of Justice By taking measures to prevent acts of genocide, and to improve the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
