KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Chiefs Kingdom will receive more cheer in the spotlight just in time for Christmas.
Hallmark said it will release an extended cut of “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story,” filmed in Kansas City and Independence.
If you missed the debut, here’s a sneak peak of what you can expect in the extended cut version.
TV Ratings Guide said more than 2.8 million people watched the Chiefs’ Christmas movie when it debuted on the Hallmark Channel last month. Hallmark said it is the channel’s most-watched movie in 2024.
The extended cut version will premiere on Dec, 20 at 7 p.m. CT.

According to TV Ratings Guide the Chiefs’ Christmas movie debut on Nov. 30, drew more viewers than NCAA football games that aired at the same time.
Here’s how viewership compared:
- Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story
- Oregon vs. Washington
- LSU vs. Oklahoma
- Kansas State vs. Iowa State
- Florida vs. Florida State
The Chiefs will also be a part of many family gatherings next week.

Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Chris Jones, and others will star in a Christmas Claymation short. The 90-second “A Kingdom Christmas Story: Hail Merry” will be released on the Chiefs YouTube Channel at 6 p.m. CT on Christmas Eve.
The Chiefs travel to Pittsburgh on Christmas Day to face the Steelers. The game will air on KCTV5 and stream on Netflix.
