Hariri rejects Aoun’s proposal to form a government

The Lebanese Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri announced his rejection of President Michel Aoun’s proposal regarding the formation of the government, due to his adherence to the blocking third, considering it unconstitutional.

On the other hand, the Lebanese presidency expressed its surprise at Hariri’s response to Aoun’s proposal, stressing that the proposal included a methodology for forming the government only in line with the president’s constitutional powers
