Tottenham have returned to the top of the Premier League standings, as Harry Kane and Son Heung-min combined yet again to beat Arsenal 2-0.
Kane assisted Son in the 13th minute before Son returned the favour on the stroke of half-time for Kane to become the all-time leading goalscorer in north London derbies.
Here’s how each player rated at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.
Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham haven’t lost in the league since their opening day defeat to Everton
Tottenham (4-2-3-1)
Hugo Lloris – 6.5
Made a couple of vital second half saves to ensure his team withstood Arsenal’s second half onslaught.
Serge Aurier – 7.5
Solid at the back and played a crucial role in Tottenham’s brilliant second. Turning his Spurs career around.
Toby Alderweireld – 8
Back from injury and slotted effortlessly into Spurs’ well-oiled back-four. Colossal display.
Eric Dier – 8.5
Revitalised under Mourinho. Rises to the occasion in games like this and he was no different here.
Eric Dier (right) was impressive again and has found a new lease of life under Jose Mourinho
Sergio Reguilon – 8
Emerging as one of the best left-backs in the Premier League. Excellent at both ends.
Moussa Sissoko – 7.5
Combined his power with guile. Clearly an important piece of Mourinho’s jigsaw.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg – 8.5
Immense in central midfield. Did all the dirty work with little fuss. Emerging as one of the signings of the season.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg was in solid form once again in central midfield for Tottenham
Steven Bergwijn – 6.5
Tireless performance for his team. Contributed in attack but put in a big shift for his team defensively.
Giovani Lo Celso – 6.5
Wasn’t heavily involved but maintained his discipline throughout. Substituted.
Son Heung-min – 8.5
No longer a supporting act to Kane. Another awesome performance from the Korean.
Son Heung-min has now scored 10-plus goals in five consecutive Premier League seasons
Harry Kane became the all-time leading goalscorer in north London derbies with 11 strikes
Harry Kane – 8.5
Simply devastating…again. Is there a better pound-for-pound footballer in Europe right now?
Subs: Davies (Lo Celso 72); Moura (Son 88); Rodon (Bergwijn 90)
Subs not used: Vinicius, Winks, Hart, Bale.
Jose Mourinho – 8
His team were clinical on the counter-attack. Has transformed Tottenham into genuine title contenders.
Arsenal (4-2-3-1)
Bernd Leno – 6
Would have had nightmares about the Kane-Son axis on Saturday night. He’ll have more sleepless nights after this.
Hector Bellerin – 6
Saw plenty of the ball down Arsenal’s right but couldn’t produce the clinical final ball.
Rob Holding – 6
Couldn’t handle the pace and accuracy of Tottenham’s attacks when they broke.
Gabriel – 6.5
Defended well for the most part but had no answer to Spurs’ super attacking duo.
Kieran Tierney – 7
The pick of Arsenal’s players. Gave everything for his team and provided some excellent deliveries into the box.
Thomas Partey – 4
Straight back in the team after injury, straight back on the treatment table. Inexplicably turned his back on play as Spurs stuck their second.
It was a disappointing return for Thomas Partey, who was taken off injured again at half-time
Granit Xhaka – 6.5
Kept things ticking over as Arsenal controlled possession but couldn’t supply the killer pass. Booked.
Willian – 6.5
Looked dangerous in passages as the Brazilian probed – but didn’t have the key to unlock watertight Spurs.
Alexandre Lacazette – 6.5
Deployed in a No 10 role and looked dangerous in sections. Was denied by an excellent Lloris save. Booked.
Bukayo Saka – 7
Showed his versatility by slotting in at right-back in the closing stages. Posed a threat in attack, too.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – 5.5
Another frustrating 90 minutes for the Arsenal captain. Despite Arsenal’s dominance was starved of decent service again.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (left) has only scored twice in the Premier League this season
Subs: Ceballos 7 (Partey 45); Nketiah 6 (Bellerin 75)
Subs not used: Elneny, Mustafi, Runnarson,, Maitland-Niles, Willock
Mikel Arteta – 7
Hard to criticise his team. Arsenal would have won this game if Kane and Son were wearing red shirts.
Referee: Martin Atkinson – 6.5
