Hawks’ Dejounte Murray ‘is being investigated by the NBA after yelling and bumping into a referee’ following home playoff loss to the Celtics
Atlanta Hawks’ Dejounte Murray could find himself in hot water as the NBA opened an investigation into his behavior towards officials Sunday night, according to reports.
Murray and Co. were beaten 129-121 at home by the Boston Celtics in Game 4 of their playoff series.
And the 26-year-old guard was not happy at the end of the game. Footage captured Murray yelling and making contact with a referee following the defeat.
His behavior is being looked into by the NBA, a league source told ESPN.
The clip shows Murray moving towards referee Gediminas Petraitis and saying something before bumping into him.

Murray can then be seen turning back, pointing and shouting as he walked off with two individuals trying to intervene and usher him off the court.
‘Any player or coach guilty of intentional physical contact with an official shall automatically be suspended without pay for one game,’ the rules state.
Celtics’ Grant Williams was handed a one-game ban after making contact with an official following his side’s loss to Chicago Bulls earlier this season.
Murray had 23 points as the Hawks moved to the brink of elimination from the postseason.
The Celtics victory on Sunday saw them take a 3-1 series lead ahead of Game 5 in Boston on Tuesday night.
Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum each scored 31 points as the Celtics led nearly the entire way at the Philips Arena.
