At New York Comic Con, Prime Video unveiled two new clips from the upcoming second season of Vivienne Medrano’s animated musical series, Hazbin Hotel, confirming its premiere on October 29. The clips highlight the escalating rivalries established in the show’s first season.
The first clip intensifies the conflict between Heaven and Hell, centering on the new angelic antagonist, Lute (Jessica Vosk). Following the death of Adam (Alex Brightman) in the first season’s finale, Lute blames protagonist Charlie Morningstar (Erika Henningsen) for his demise. In a new song titled “Gravity,” now available on digital music platforms, Lute swears revenge by threatening to kill Charlie’s girlfriend, Vaggie, to make her understand the pain of loss.
A second clip shifts focus to the internal power struggles of Hell, showcasing the ambitions of the TV demon Vox. He is seen strategizing with his fellow Overlords, Valentino and Velvette, outlining a plan to seize control—a scheme previously hinted at in the Season 1 finale and subsequent teasers. These developments promise to escalate the series’ established rivalries, including the ongoing power struggle between Vox and the Radio Demon Alastor, and Alastor’s competition with Charlie’s father, Lucifer, for her loyalty.
The panel also announced a one-night-only Hazbin Hotel Broadway concert in New York City on October 20. The event will be hosted by Erika Henningsen and feature performances from series regulars Blake Roman, Amir Talai, Alex Brightman, Christian Borle, Jessica Vosk, Jeremy Jordan, and Krystina Alabado, with special appearances by Stephanie Beatriz and Kimiko Glenn. The cast will perform songs from both seasons, and Prime Video confirmed the concert will be available for streaming at a later date.
Finally, an NYCC exclusive collector’s vinyl edition of the Season 2 soundtrack was revealed. It is available for order for a limited 72-hour period on the series’ music website, alongside CD and cassette versions.
