Cleveland has lost its last five games, but it’s not all bad news. Flattered by his good game at the start of the season, the Cavaliers have seen some of their pieces take an important step forward that allows them to raise their heads and look at the horizon with optimism.
In that group of players whose growth is exciting in Ohio is Cedi Osman. The forward is playing fewer minutes than in the previous two seasons, also doing so from the bench; a scenario that, far from slowing down his game, has given him a specific role in which he is shining to score more and do it more efficiently. To be exact, he’s averaging 11.8 points on 48.5% shooting from the field and 43.6% from 3-pointers (career high) in 22.2 minutes per night. In the two previous seasons he had a similar production, but enjoying 29.4 and 25.6 minutes on the track. JB Bickerstaff is really happy about it, as he understands that he has found his place in the team.
«His role is to be that spark from the bench. Get out there, take open shots and be a facilitator when the defense dictates it. We have tried our best to simplify its function. He is committed to the team and is trying to do what is best for the group. He has become a star in his role, “explains the head coach of the Ohio organization.
