The German midfielder was making a statement after beating Liverpool with a free goal at the “Stade de France” in the French capital, Paris.
According to the newspaper “Sun”, Kroos was ecstatically celebrating the fifth European title in his football career, but the press interview angered him.
Kroos was speaking to the German channel “ZDF”, he was asked whether the match had gone as expected, and whether he was surprised that his team needed to make a greater effort to win the Champions League final at the expense of Liverpool.
Cross described the questions with an obscene word, and told the channel in German: “You had 90 minutes to come and come up with good questions, and then you came up with these two questions (…)?”
Kroos replied that the difficulty of the match against Liverpool is self-evident and natural, wondering: “What is this question you are asking?”
And the player who withdrew from the interview continued: “We are not playing in the group stage, but we are playing the final of the Champions League.”
But the 32-year-old managed to overcome his nervousness quickly, and returned to his Real Madrid teammates in order to continue celebrating the great title.
