British police are searching for a detainee on charges of sexual assault and drug possession, who was accidentally released from a prison in west London.
Prisoner William Fernandez was in pretrial detention pending trial on charges of various crimes, including sexual assault.
The prison administration told London police on Wednesday that the 24-year-old had been released by mistake.
The police said that the officers “are working on all clues of the case and will continue the investigation to track down Fernandez.”
The prisoner was to be tried after his arrest and accusation of sexual assault through touch, indecent exposure and possession of a class “B” narcotic drug, in April of last year.

Police quickly began conducting searches in the area surrounding the prison, as soon as the incident was reported, but it has not been confirmed seeing him since.
Police believe he rode the subway from East Acton on Wednesday, while he was also seen through security cameras on the street as he was walking down Wildstone High Street that night.
The Metropolitan Police reported that Fernandez did not have a specific address prior to his arrest, but “it is likely that he is in the West London area”.
The police published a picture of the fugitive prisoner and asked citizens to report him.
According to the police description and the published photos, he is white and medium brown, with light hair and a dark beard, and it is known that he uses the name Augustin Fernando Jimenez Ebert.
