He added: “Two years have passed since the President of the Republic announced the official launch of the comprehensive health insurance system, a dream that Egyptians had for decades, until the political leadership adopted it out of its belief in the inevitability of providing an insurance umbrella for all Egyptian citizens alike, to enable them to obtain all health services. He said: “Through a set of presidential initiatives for public health, led by the 100 Million Health Initiative, which was considered by the World Health Organization, the initiative carried out the largest medical survey in history, Egypt was able to eliminate Hepatitis C and localize the modern pharmaceutical industry used to treat the virus.”
He explained: “The comprehensive health insurance system has expanded to include 3 governorates, namely Port Said, Luxor and Ismailia, in addition to preparing a systematic plan consistent with the vision of the political leadership to put Egypt on the medical tourism map by launching the slogan (We take care of you in Egypt), as the first brand of medical tourism in General Authority hospitals.
