Heidi Klum shared a mermaid-inspired photo from a St. Barts vacation, posting the image to her Instagram on August 10. In the shot, the supermodel posed in knee-high water against a rock, wearing only bikini bottoms and using two seashells to cover her chest.
During the photoshoot, one of the shells slipped, resulting in a minor wardrobe mishap. Klum addressed the moment with humor in her post, shielding the slip with a star emoji and writing a playful caption: “Woopsy😅.” She also credited the creative team involved and set the post to the song “Ooo La La La” by Sunmoon.
The photoshoot was captured by photographer Antoine Verglas. The shells Klum wore were part of a necklace by the St. Barts-based brand Bijoux de la Mer, which specializes in handcrafted, nature-inspired jewelry. Her animal and leaf-print bikini bottoms continued the organic theme.
This beachside shoot follows another recent water-themed feature for Klum, who appeared on the July cover of PEOPLE magazine posing by a swimming pool in Beverly Hills. In the accompanying interview, she discussed her confidence and comfort with her body.
“I’ve been photographing nude or in lingerie since 1992, way before Instagram,” Klum told the magazine. “So for me, it’s nothing new… Instead of being in my little bottoms in a magazine, I’m on Instagram. It’s the same thing.”
She emphasized that age does not change her perspective. “For me to be older, it doesn’t matter. I don’t have this age-shaming or body-shaming thing,” she said. “I feel like everyone should do what they want to do. I like to run around sexy.”
